Coming Soon: Analyses made on Melbourne Housing

For the past few days, I have spent most of my time on Datacamp courses. Upon waking up: I Datacamp, during the day: I Datacamp, before going to bed: I Datacamp. 

While it is pretty cool that I am so serious about self-learning Data Science, I'm actually super concerned that this is actually my way of escaping the massive pile of assignments, lectures and an interview tomorrow that I need to prepare for (also a math competition that I haven't started preparing for, yet! :()

Nevertheless, I just wanted to post a quick (my first!) update that I will soon post the analyses that I make here. The data sciency stuff will go to kaggle or github (or both, probably) and I will make a separate post on here about some interesting findings that I make along the way.

Didn't bother editing because it's just an update post. My essays/ articles will be more structured/ formal though. For mini posts like this, it's enough as long as it's written in coherent English.

A question I will be thinking about tonight when I go to bed: How long do I expect I would be able to keep this blog running? 

Update: I didn't :P fell asleep as soon as i hit the bed

One year ago, I was a bright-eyed first-year university student who was happy just to get involved in the things around me. In 2022, I attended the Women* In STEM Leadership Conference. The main aim of this conference is to inspire, empower and educate female, femme-aligned and non-binary undergraduate students at the ANU about leadership in STEM. In 2023, I returned to the conference as Education Coordinator and organised an Orienteering Challenge and an Opportunities workshop. The Orienteering Challenge was meant to acquaint new students with the Science Precinct on campus, and later-year students to find places and things that they had not seen before. This activity also created opportunities for early-year and later-year students to collaborate and solve a set of puzzles. My experience at Karls Winter Academy 2022

At a winter school that I participated in this month, I met people from different parts of the world, each with a challenge that they wanted to tackle, and a cause worth fighting for. All of us had something in common: we wanted to embrace diversity and tackle the challenges that surrounded it. We were interested in contributing to a more equitable world and wanted to tackle challenges surrounding race, gender, social status, wealth and beyond. During our three weeks together at the winter school, we learnt how inequality was caused and its impact on communities across the world. Then, we brought our own communities into context as we worked on a project that would contribute to the efforts made to solve the problem. In addition to learning about inequality, we also received training on Project Management - which supercharged our ideas into actionable projects. So I decided to try ChatGPT! ChatGPT has been making quite the buzz lately. Functionality-wise, it is Aladdin [1] that appears at the controls of your machine.
